Archangel Michael has asked to have his message brought forward today through a card from The Archangel Michael Sword of Light Oracle Deck created by Radleigh Valentine. As you may remember, this deck brings us messages exclusively from Archangel Michael who battles “against fear, worry and the illusions of lack and separation from the Divine.” His main assignments as an Archangel are to protect us and to help us feel safe by using his sword of light to assist us in releasing anything and everything that no longer serves us. He also is by our side to assist us in discovering our true, life purpose. He will help us live according to our own truth and bring us clarity about our life purpose. All we need to do is ask for his guidance and then listen and watch for signs. He also wants us to know how much we are truly loved by our Guardian Angels, the Archangels, and the Divine. He states that if we knew the depth of that love, we would never question our value, our beauty, or our perfection as children of the Divine. The card today then, is very much in alignment with his role as a mentor for our life purpose. It is card #5 Be Honest with Yourself.
My Messages:
As I initially look at this card, what strikes me is the look of contentment on the individual’s face. With her hand on her heart, she appears to have “gone inward” to connect with her true self and when we do that, the reward is contentment, happiness, and joy. Many wise
channelers, psychics, and spiritual people tell us that this year especially, is one of enhanced heart energy. We will be called to go inward and connect with our heart space, with our soul. This is where we will find our true self. This is where we will begin to connect with who we truly are and what we are here for. When we go inward, we are free from the image and expectations that the outside world has created of us. We see our Divine selves and not the person others think we should be.
Releasing the image we have created of ourselves based on input from our external environment may not be easy. We may have been living that charade for a long time because it was comfortable. But this card is telling us that it is now time to connect with our true selves. It is telling us to “be honest with yourself.” In other words, identify what you see that makes you uncomfortable, that doesn’t align with your soul. Then we need to shed the beliefs, images, behaviours that we have taken on from others and to take a long hard look at who we really are. Have you already done this? Are you living true to your own core beliefs and values versus trying to live up to the expectations of others? Do you know your purpose and align your thoughts and behaviours with it? Do you recognize the life lessons you came here to learn and are you working through them? Do you have joy and happiness in your life?
If you are not answering ‘yes’ to the questions above, Archangel Michael is asking you to look inward and start by being honest with yourself with what you see. When you start asking yourself, “What do I want in this life? How do I want to live?” you will begin the work of finding your true self and your purpose. You will begin to set goals based on that purpose and take action towards them. In that process there may be some regrets, self judgement, and disappointment regarding past behaviours, beliefs, feelings, or thoughts. Archangel Michael is asking you to be honest with yourself and acknowledge any negativity for what it was – perhaps learning opportunities – and to forgive yourself for anything you do not feel good about. That is the first step in aligning with your true self.
Archangel Michael is reminding you that “All your feelings, even the difficult ones, have a message for you.” In other words, everything happens for a reason. Everything happens in our best interest to assist us in learning the life lessons we came here to learn. So, when you encounter difficult feelings or situations where you are no longer comfortable with your own behaviour, pause and ask yourself, “What is the purpose of this feeling/situation? What am I to learn from it?” If difficult feelings or situations come repeatedly into your life, look for a common thread or a pattern to find the reason they are occurring. This reflection versus self criticism or judgement, will hep you get closer to knowing your true self. Your insight will propel you forward in your learning and bring more positive feelings and situations into your reality.
Archangel Michael also encourages us to “Accept your truth, then let Source take it from here.” Part of accepting your truth is remembering that you are a Child of the Divine, that you are loved, and that you chose the path you are on to ‘grow your soul’. Archangel Michael is reminding you that especially when that path gets difficult to TRUST in Spirit to guide you and support you on your journey. The Universe truly has your back as shown on the card with the light and stars behind the individual. You can ask Spirit for assistance to make the choices that best serve you. Keep your goal in your sights but let go of any expectations or tightly held beliefs or decisions in how to get there. Instead, allow Spirit to guide you just as Archangel Michael’s hands are doing on the shoulders of the individual in the image. And, when you do that, you will feel just as reassured and secure as the person in the image appears to be.
This is card #5. In numerology and angel numbers, five is a number indicating change.
Going inward and connecting with your true self involves change. As mentioned, it involves releasing old patterns and beliefs about yourself and your life. It involves reinventing yourself to be more closely aligned with your purpose. During that process, be open to new opportunities or directions that you may not have encountered when you were holding rigidly to your course. Greet change with a sense of adventure and courage and TRUST that Spirit has brought these changes into your path for a reason.

“There are times when facing your true thoughts or emotions can be difficult or troubling. Yet it’s important to recognize that you have these feelings for a reason: they are meant to guide you. Being honest with yourself means looking with a clear eye at the stories you’ve been telling yourself and others, along with all your thoughts, emotions, and motivations. When you have this clarity, you can let go of your worries and have faith in the process, knowing that Source is in control.
Knowing your truth doesn’t mean then that you have to reveal all your thoughts and secrets to others right away. Some situations do call for sharing, however, and it can sometimes be hard to tell what your current circumstances are dictating. Let me help. If you have feelings you wish to keep secret, ask yourself why that is. I can guide you to find clarity by using my sword of light to severe your connections to negative stories, fears, and the past so that you can reach out and embrace the truth. I can also send you little signs and pings of emotion so that you know what’s real and what’s not. You’ll be able to make a statement to yourself and feel if it’s true or not. I will need you to ask for this assistance specifically so that my actions can remain in line with your free will.
Once you know your full personal truth, you can decide whether it’s best to share it with others or wait for Divine timing. I will support whatever choice you make.”
So, as Archangel Michael assists us with connecting with our true selves and aligning with our purpose, he askes us to accept who we are and to allow Source to help us work through those tougher life lessons.
